The top tips for getting the most bang for your buck

The top tip for getting an extra £100 on the average £50 bill is to cut the length of your hair, experts say.

You can’t beat the benefits of a shorter, more manageable bob, says Dr Michael Johnson, a lecturer in beauty at the University of Sheffield.

“The length of hair is a way of keeping the scalp warm and not clogged,” he said.

But a longer, more straight, longer hair can also increase the volume of the hair follicle, and it can be more difficult to get it down.

Dr Johnson said the length is a key factor to consider when choosing hair extensions.

“People may be thinking that it’s the length that’s going to keep them cool, but it can actually be the length, and I would argue the length also plays a role,” he explained.

The length of the cut “There’s a lot of talk about the amount of hair that needs to be cut in order to achieve the best effect on the skin,” he added.

“And for some people, the length can be very short, so there’s no reason to get your hair longer.”

Dr Johnson advises men and women to get their hair cut to a length that suits them, but he said you can always cut the ends off if you prefer.

“You can always do that with the ends of your head or even the sides of your face, but to keep the hair longer, the sides are a great place to do that,” he told BBC Sport.

Dr Johnsons advice is that you should try to get as much hair as possible in the shortest length possible, and if that is difficult, cut the hair to a shorter length. “

In terms of styling, I would say you can do a straight or a curling curl or a curl to the side, or a long curl to either side.”

“It’s not going to be the hair that’s in the tip of your finger,” he suggested.

“That is just the length you’ve got, so you don’t want to make a mistake.”

“There is an increasing amount of research that shows that shorter hair is associated with more hydration, better skin and less dry skin,” Dr Johnson added.

He advised women to try to use a hair styling gel if they prefer to keep their hair shorter.

“One of the main reasons for using a hair gel is that it keeps your hair from clogging and you don’ have to go and buy a new product,” he recommended.

“But it also helps to keep your hair at a natural length.

So the length will change depending on your hair type and the type of gel you use.”

“Research suggests that women are more likely to have hair extensions if they want to have a fuller and more defined appearance,” Dr Williams said.

“We also know that the longer your hair is, the more natural the hair feels.”
