I decided to use some hair extensions because my hair is annoyingly thin and although it is straight, which I like, I can’t do anything with it because it looks like I have two strings of hair and that’s it. I wanted to add volume, but the thing is whenever I put the extensions on, they are visible. Oh I forgot to mention they are clips, but the point they don’t look good no matter what hair style I choose. You can see them even when I tie them up in a ponytail. Now what?

You could go to a salon and let them fix it. If you pay attention, maybe you’ll learn how to do it yourself. As a plus, you maybe even find out some interesting tips about how to style your extensions. I had the same problem (not with the thin hair, but I had no idea how to style my new extensions) and I went to a salon and they taught me. I went there a few times but at least now I know how to style my hair.

Well the thing is that I don’t want to spend more money because I don’t think it’s necessary.

Then you should try Youtube. Maybe there is something you can find.

Try bangs! You know when you cut your hair everything seems to be more…tidy so maybe if you cut some of it the extensions will also look better. It’s just an idea but I have a friend who did that and she seemed pretty happy with the result.

The best thing to hide your extensions is to make your hair curly. If you take a string of your own hair and a bit of the extension, they will curl together and your hair will look better. Or even better, try to braid the front side and curl the back side. This way you will have an interesting hairstyle and your extensions will look like they are part of your hair.

Wow, that’s actually a great idea! I will try it because I don’t know what else to do and since my hair is so thin, keeping in straight is simply not attractive at all and I have always loved curly, even wavy hair. I don’t know how to braid, but I have a sister who loves to braid my hair so I will ask her that. That’s a great tip, thanks!
